Social Security checks will be fine. Even if social security becomes part of the budget cut backs, Obama claims those receiving checks now will not be affected. The cut backs would apply to future filers. So those paying in now are actually paying the checks of those receiving now. When those paying now get to retirement age, there should be nothing left or they will get a tiny pittance for what they paid into the system. This is what happens when crooks get elected into our government. Pay attention to who you vote for and if you don't vote, get involved and exercise your right that millions fought and died for. It takes the country to control the thieves.

it's hard to say what really will happen, granted all kinds of programs are going to be cut, which should not include  s.s. checks you just can't steal someones fiture away cause the goverment can't balance thier books, if i bounced a check i'd be in jail, but unfortunitaly the feds see diferantly. one thing for sure if nothing is done we'll  all be eating rice in the dark.best we can hope for is a new budget that will minimalize the social structure of what was once the usa.
