      Just inside their rectum. Put your finger in no more than to the first joint of your finger. Then feel for the swollen anal gland. It will be swollen if it's blocked. Taking your thumb, place it where your finger is but on the out side of the rectum. Squeeze gently and pull finger and thumb towards the edge of the rectum to draw out the blocked matter. It's a nasty smelly job so use plenty of tissue or paper towel to catch what comes out and do it outside! There are anal glands on both sides so check both.
