    at work we have products that come in with a package date and a scale by date what does scale by date mean there are people who say that you have to tag it with a use by date before that date but if you do scan it for a used date before it gives a date 5 day's after the scale by date on the box?do you have an answer?

    at work we have freash product's that come in with a package date and a scale by date we also have to tag the product with a use by date and when you scan the product it will atomaticly print out a date 5 days from the date you scan it but is the scale by date mean that you have to have the product out on the sales floor before that date or do you have to have it scand for a use by date on that date no body seem to know at work one person say's one thing and anotrher say's another??? confused

    The sell by date indicates, when the product must be sold by, if not the store must remove it from public access, the use by date gives the consumer a reccomended date the product should be used by or at least frozen for safe useage.

    You should ask a grocery store about this, we are not a grocery store, we do not selling anything on this website.
