If alcohol was never a man-made invention, would there be alcoholics ? Would alcoholism be a disease ? Do you think alcoholism is a disease, or do you think alcoholics are just people that are trying to self-medicate themselves ?
Answers: 12 Views: 2542 Rating: 6 Posted: 6 years ago

Honestly, alcohol is not man made.  It naturally occurs.  Human beings also naturally occur.

We eat things, we drink things and unfortunately we smoke things.  Light fire to anything and inhale... really bad idea.

There are one-kazzilion things that human beings can do that are really bad ideas.  ... and about six that we all agree upon that are spectacular ideas.  The six good ones are totally overshadowed by the bad dark clouds of idiotic ideas .... bing, bang, boom... welcome to the human race.

Alcoholism is a  baby-bad idea.  Human beings came up with a lot worse than that.

Are you prepared for winter ?

I thought you lived in Texas Zorro.  ... my bad.

We are one with the rain.  The snow is higher up.  It is akin to a molecular crawl into coldness here and then we find the rain again.

"Speak American!" Thoughts?
Answers: 6 Views: 1360 Rating: 4 Posted: 6 years ago

That was a very short clip.  The American language is based upon the English language.  ... I venture to guess the entire story was not depicted.

If you want me not to like Donald Trump because you placed a video of him in a sombrero in Ben's answer... I will only tell you that I have empathy for the man.  Anything beyond this point will require me walking through the doors of a University and obtaining a useful degree.  A degree that does not have chemistry or arts attached.

I also did not go to school for Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.  ... It kind of looks like you guys are beating yourselves up.  America has a lot of issues.  NAFTA?... well, Canada kind of doesn't have to buy from you and we definitely don't need to provide free water.  ... just saying.  You don't seem to know what the word 'surplus' means.

That could be a Donald thing.  ... yep... we are getting used to that.

... Throwing it out there.

Julie: Does the "J" in Donald J. Trump stand for "James"? It's the "island thing", and Puerto Rico, you know..
Answers: 4 Views: 1343 Rating: 1 Posted: 6 years ago

Oh please.  ... water. salt water... fish inside the water... phytoplankton, seaweed, corals, the complexities are abounding.  Oh shoot!  an Island with people on board.  "Did you see that dolphin hopping about over there?"  "Oh! OH! America did not colonize that island... Those people are kind of just floating out there and we had nothing to do with anything what so ever.... Please don't buy 98% of products available at Walmart, an American company.  You are not allowed by law to do that."

Oh sorry... no one on this planet is permitted to utter one single word that Sean Hannity didn't think of saying before hand.  I also don't need to go golfing at Mar A Lago and just want Donald to make Americans safe.... literally.

Honestly?

Bob Corker is correct.  The world is watching and it really sucks.  (He didn't say the last part)

Do you think it's rude or embarrassing for your friends to take the mail out of your box and hand it to you ?
Answers: 9 Views: 965 Rating: 4 Posted: 6 years ago

Actually, I like the mail to arrive on my own rhythm...  it does not any longer, kind of thrown in my face.

Good point.

What's your best health advice or health tip to others?
Answers: 9 Views: 1427 Rating: 6 Posted: 6 years ago

Hope for the best.  Eat as healthy as possible.  Love the people around you.  Be thankful and exercise as much as you possibly have time for.... also make artful things.  When you leave this mortal coil your loved ones will hold on to your memory.  Death lasts a flipping long time.  Life is a flit of energy.

A very personal question but I have good reason. MEN! When you go pee, can tou stop midstream?
Answers: 8 Views: 1565 Rating: 5 Posted: 6 years ago

I thought this was just an over filled pregnancy bladder before testing thing.  I am now enlightened.

... After 50 is a bit weird.  We have taken to 'urban hiking'.  Keep the body moving and peeing is spectacularly normal ... unless you are sadly on the list to die.  ... slowly, achingly and pathetically.

Morbid hilarity always sets in.  Bladders loose elasticity.  It's a painful and true fact.  You can however, work those muscles if you get out and walk.  $200.00 on a seemingly good pair of shoes and away you go.  Peeing is no longer an issue.  It just is that fact... liquid in and liquid out.

... You asked.

Italy is sending refugees from Lybia right back to Lybia as soon as they get off the boat. They feel too many refugees are too de-stabilizing for their country. Do you agree with that viewpoint?
Answers: 8 Views: 4356 Rating: 7 Posted: 6 years ago

If disaster strikes we should remain on our little plot of land and we should hope to God or any other great goodness up in the sky that a miracle will appear if we just stand still.

Yep.  That works out really well.  .... if I don't walk in 'my own shoes' right now.

I don't know Tabby Tabs, I have read the words of Jesus.  He is all of us.  The point is he died on the cross for our sins and our strengths.  We are all.  We are Jesus.  We are God.  ... That is what it means to me.  If we can't lift ourselves up then we are not that... which is God.

... it will take us a long time to get there.  ... sadly.

Here we go again..

This is a true tragedy.  Something that hits home and is close to many of us.  Canadians are actually getting used to loosing sons and daughters on vacation finding themselves victims of American gun violence.

With this being said, or written down... I looked the second amendment up.  I want to understand why it's just ok to own many more guns than one person could care to use in a single day ... I understand.

What is written is clear and true without any possible increment of misunderstanding.

It is American.  We should accept that fact.  The words are simply written.  Done deal.

The only people who have a right to judge are the people of United States.  The rest of us are just free not to visit if we so choose.

Every country other than our own is a complete mystery.  I learned to shoot guns and take care of them in Survival Training while growing up in Alberta Canada.  I would only shoot a gun at a clay pigeon or a target that brought about a prize such as an idiotic fluorescent pink inflatable alien.

The Second Amendment and Survival Training whilst studying the great Canadian Frontier from eight to fifteen years of age is massively dis-ordinary.  My experience is hilarious in retrospect even though I know how to shoot and care for a gun has no political aspect attached... Americans take that 'shirt' seriously.  (I can write that because it was on an  American program called, 'The Good Place')... already audited.  ... :D

What makes you feel more secure in your home, an alarm system, a dog(s) or both or neither?
Answers: 10 Views: 1167 Rating: 7 Posted: 6 years ago

No guns.... that would be weird as I am Canadian.  We have an alarm system and a very yappy dog.  Her brother had a heart attack about five months ago and passed away in my arms.  He was crazy yappy.  I have a new next door neighbour dog who protects the entire block.  He pretty much barks all night long at the homeless people who have taken up camp on the plot of land behind my house.  Those people regularly go shopping for free in my back yard.  That makes my dog and the next door neighbour dog go crazy.

I don't think anything will help if someone really wants to hurt you.  I do want my hedge trimmers back though.
