I went back to work four months after my husband passed. I just couldn't stay home and not work. I work in the cafeteria at a local school system. I am having a lot of fun. I'm 65 and plan on working as long as I can.
Not sure of the release date, but I just saw the movie, "The Shape of Water". I liked it.
I was supposed to go to my friends house to watch the Super Bowl. Another friend called earlier that day and said her husband was in hospice. I knew what she was going to go thru so I went to the hospital and then to her home and spent time with her and made sure she ate some dinner. We've been friends for 40 years. That's what you do for friends. Somehow the Super Bowl didn't matter as much as before. He passed two days later.
When I was in line at a department store. It was very hot and the line was long. I almost passed out but didn't. My ears started ringing and I was very light headed. Found out weeks later that I was pregnant. Surprise!
New oriental rugs for the living room, den, and dinning room. Lighter and brighter colours that go along with the newly painted trim. Rugs were fairly cheap from Ocean State Job Lot. Gave the old ones to a friend who needed rugs for her home.
Chicken, to make chicken salad.
I went to the Weslyan University Observatory to watch the eclipse. It was a partial eclipse, but it was awesome just the same. You could feel the temperature change. There was an energy that waxed and waned, and since then I have felt a goodness I've not felt in some time.
Funny I came across this tonight. I have been keeping myself very busy since January painting all the trim in my house. I am writIng this answer and posting, then going to do some more painting. I do a few hours when ever I get the chance. Almost 90% done and it is looking so good.
To each their own, and what a blessing that is.
I have a basic cell phone where I can make calls and text. No internet and I like it that way. I use an IPad for Internet when I am at home in the evening. Other than that I am outside enjoying the company of people - face to face. You know the old fashioned way of communicating.
