We had about a 70% partial eclipse here. Sun was behind a big cloud but briefly passed over a less dense area of the cloud and we were able to see it without special glasses for a couple seconds.

Wife and I drive 270 miles (each way) about every 6 weeks to meet a friend who does everything you could get in a salon. This pales to the fact that she flies in from Texas. 

A dog for the alarm system. Guns for protection. Neighbors that look out for each other.

I would be totally in favor of having the presidential election every six years and limiting the presidency to one term. Currently, the 4th year is spent campaigning for the second term.

Going ashore at the various ports can be fun. Sun bathing. Watching/listening to the various shows and bands. I find cruising with a group of family and friends to be a lot of fun. We are going to cruise from Vancouver to Alaska with a group of 8 in a couple months.

I get up, make a cup of coffee, get my computer and do my daily crossword/sudoku puzzles and take my turns on my scrabble games on facebook.  If up before 3 am I often take a nap when the aforementioned are done. The days I'm still asleep after 5 am are rare indeed.
