I’ve never planned on spending much but the list grows along with the season. I really have no one left to buy for but the list still grows. I know people who insist they be given nothing but the list grows……….

    The owl says "Whoooooooo!"

For years, probably my whole life, I have only purchased gifts that I could afford. I do not believe in buying gifts for people, if I do not have the money to do so. Nor would I want someone giving me a gift, knowing that a bill would be arriving at their home, after Christmas. Forget the gift....just come and visit me instead.    :)

It will be difficult but I may try that ... except for the kids. The kids will be taken to Disney Land so I don't think they'll miss my $25.00 doll.

Some rich people are not very happy, in fact, they are rather paranoid, believing that they are only liked because of their money. If people like me, I know for sure, it's not because of my money!! lol

....and frost on the pumpkins. (*~*)

Frost on the pumpkins, that sounds painful.

I have a small fortune invested in different craft projects.  IF I do some of them, even crocheting around wooden coat hangers, I have nice (and sometimes useful) gifts for family and friends.  Making a bracelet or earrings with material I already have, or a couple of placemats... simple but nice. I like to do some baking at holiday time, too.
My sons will not be getting much this year, as I give, give, give all year long. My grandchildren don't need any more toys of any kind, as their parents just bag up the nice things they get and put them in the garage. They don't take very good care of the kids' clothes, either, so maybe I will just plan an outing with the children and my sister (tag team).  My sister feels the same way and is thinking of opening savings' accounts for the kids; of course, Mom and Dad won't be on the accounts.

OH, to actually ANSWER your question, YES, I plan on cutting back A LOT on holiday giving this year.  I don't celebrate the non-Christian faith-based holidays, so am talking about Christmas.

Let's make jewelry together. If I do not respond to your email, it's because my computer is kinda broke. We live in the safe north-west area of Fresno. Maybe I could get someone else to join us. Wanna?

That sounds like fun. I'm terrible at crafts, but can muddle through, and when someone else is with you, it's always more fun. I'll email you my phone number.

    Probably won't be cutting back.(sigh).

The usual big party at our place Xmas day.(About 50 of our dearest friends & rellies).

The Grandkid's gifts are already bought & hidden in my wife's walk in wardrobe.

Maggie & I don't exchange gifts anymore. we spend tha money on the kids.

    What the heck! It's Christmas!

We have had to cut down the last few years, owing to lack of funds,  but we always have a nice Christmas spending time with family and friends. This year my niece had invited us to hers for Christmas day , her sister will be there and her husband and two teenage sons. Our two sons are coming as well, so we will have a lovely day ,I am sure of that.

We have that big family get together every Xmas.Magic!

I do a huge party with family, friends and the whole neighborhood two weeks before Christmas. That's my gift.  Christmas has always been big on people and small on presents.

    I think yes.
