In the 50s there was a Studebaker that the headlights turned to show around corners and today we have the same thing as a "innovation"
The model was a "Grande Turisimo"
The 1939 model had a radio aerial along the centre top of the roof from the windscreen and the driver could wind out the aerial by use of a round knurled knob on the ceiling of the cabin over the rear view mirror. This knob was about 1 1/2 inches diameter (39mm)
This model also had a "quick warm" up system where vanes on the front of the radiator stayed closed restricting cooling air from entering. When the motor warmed up a heat sensitive catch released the vanes so allowing the air to flow as normal.
