Does the area you live in allow individuals to do fireworks for the 4th of July?

Scotland does not celebrate the 4th of July. Fireworks abound  in November to celebrate Guy Fawkes day and New Year's Eve.

There are no laws against individuals setting off "professional type" fireworks. I'm amazed at what I see. Magnificent fireworks in every direction.

:) It's okay in my area but it depends on where you live. In some cities, it is not allowed for the "average citizen". Whether it is obeyed or enforced is another issue.

Our "safe" fireworks are pretty simple, but the "illegal" ones (like my son brought from Texas) are spectacular. The fire danger is very real, but people don't think. My son's next door neighbor was setting off all kinds of stuff last year, and I was sure something was going to land on a roof and start a bad fire.

Although the government (local) advises not to set them off Many do! We had an excellent display a few years ago!  at our place!  I saw a beautiful display last night!  Fireworks are VERY expensive! I hear many going off now but can't get visual on them!  Any way! Happy July 4th Americans!  May we ALWAYS be FREE!

Oh, good Lord no! Fireworks of any sort are illegal inside the city limits. Fortunately for me who loves them, my neighbors are not afraid of silly laws and will pop and shoot and set ablaze fireworks galore to be heard and seen in the comfort of my backyard!

You would love the fireworks here because people pop off the same stuff in their back gardens as the professional fireworks displays. It's brilliant!

There are many cities who have professional fireworks displays, with music and food booths. They hold them at the high school football stadiums.

People shoot off the "safe" fireworks, too. A few boneheads have the illegal stuff, from Utah, and the police have to respond to those...fire danger is very high.
