I bought myself a new iron which was on sale for 50% off. The one I had, was about thirty years old with tape wrapped around the cord to hold it together. I'm hoping that this purchase will make the 'chore' more fun!

Some hot embers out the fire will do for that one.
My grandma had these they had interchangable handles and you set them on the wood stove then changed them as the iron cooled!
Gosh MCM, I can't imagine who irons. Walmart had 7 different models on the shelf last week though, so I guess SOMEONE does! I personally don't like the wrinkled clothing look.

No actually a 55' x 55' total. Metal barn is 40'x40' with 15' lean to on two sides. Concrete floor on all of it. just finished . Now going to have spray foam on inside for insulation, and to keep dust out.

@Ducky: Through trial and error, I have learned you make sure the caller is not on "facetime" when she calls, and when sending a personal text to your wife, you must make sure you're not sending it to some random person.
@terryfossil 1: I used to have the same opinion about expensive smart phones but recent plans and costs have come down so much that the advantages of them don't cost that much more. Having a built in GPS system and also the ability to make free phone calls to anywhere in the world (where there is internet service) make them a pretty handy device.

I do as well. I usually apply the Las Vegas Rule... walk in with a set amount of cash and don't spend beyond it. It was working well until this week. I am abnormally inspired. My art room is jam packed with projects. .... This makes me happy.
