Even though you are "over 50" (?), do you still wear blue jeans?

    Cross dresser. :)

Over 50! I'll answer this question since I only have five months to go before I turn 50.

I don't think wearing jeans should be limited to a persons age. My grandfather is 75 and he wears jeans every day. My grandfather was raised on a farm so he's a country boy  so suspenders (braces to you Brits) accompany my grandfather's jeans and I can't imagine him wearing anything else .He looks so darn cute.

Perhaps wearing jeans should be limited to a state of mind instead of ones age.

This may be an actual picture of my grandfather. LOL

My uncle also a farmer, always wore blue jeans, a plaid shirt and yes, braces! I'm 74 and wear them as often as possible....no braces though. :)

Remember denim overalls? Your uncle may have worn them too, I'm sure my grandfather had a couple of pairs.

. Rereading above put a smile on my face because I mentioned I'm almost 50 and my grandfather is 75. Now that's a head scratchier! :)

I did scratch my head too but....only for a moment and yes, I remember the overalls. :)

    I live in mine!

All the time, uh - most of the time.

Nowadays no, he does not look odd. However, my parents (and my friend's parents) never wore jeans...ever. Also, the school board did not allow us (boys or girls) to wear jeans in high school, ever. So, I assume that jeans were not always as common a piece of clothing as they are now. When I was young, it would have been extremely odd to see anyone over the age of 50, other than a farmer, wearing jeans.

Ducky, unfortunately i can't show you, here in Oz many years ago, people on the land complained of their jeans/ denims not lasting, getting ripped by Barbed wire, and just wearing out, R.M. Williams a man of the land, started a business producing clothes for farm hands, drovers etc, and one item was moleskins, in various colours, a smooth, heavy, close knitted Demin, able to with stand heavy wearing by those who rode horses, barbed wire resistance, one pair depending on the circumstance would last for many years ----- R M Williams exports every where including Stetsons, Akubra's, and riding boots to the U.S.A. - i have two pairs of fawn Molskins, they look like new, they are 20 years old. :)
