.... dern .... hadn't thought about it Jewel ... but I will and will get back to you on this ... getting out my Santa hat ... ;D

    p.s. wot's a roomba? ;D
    FISH-O

Hal. My Roomba's name is Hal. The best, most loyal and useful pet I have ever owned.
    lindilou

    So you're sayin' ... " Get a roomba?" LOL
    FISH-O

Yes! It will save you hours of work. Redundant and extremely boring work!
;) ... There is nothing like a pet that cleans.
Twice a year they go on sale at Costco.
    lindilou

Heyyy! Maybe I need one of these?! I like pets! LOL

Check out 'cat on roomba' on youtube then you will understand the value of this device.

I know this sounds cheesy, but monetary gifts to other people and  especially given to me by me is not what Christmas should be about in my opinion.  I do like giving and receiving gifts - the kind with a big red bow tied around them, but the gifts I will cherish this Christmas season and hold nearest and dearest to my heart are  spending time with my soul mate, Skypeing with my family and friends, listening to Christmas music, having a traditional dinner etc.

    Sounds cozy and nice. :)
    FISH-O

It doesn't sound cheesy at all.
    lindilou

It sounds romantical dawling ... I can smell the cinnamon from the baked apples wafting up my shnozz now ... mmmmmmmm... ;D

I don't buy myself anything unless I really love it. I haven't seen anything recently, so I guess I'm getting nothing for Christmas.....from myself anyway.

I'll be waiting on the posty with anticipation.

    Same as Mr there!

Silicon baking sheets (set of 3)

Bamboo cutting board with a slot that holds half dozen silicon cutting mats that fit on top of the board.  Could've used it two days before I found it at COSTCO.

MsBob , a Costco has just opened here, are the prices really cheap, i believe they sell everthing you can think of, it is a little out of my way, i have to justify if its worth taking a look. :)
    Bob/PKB

Costco has some advantages to memb et s, but if you don't need 8 cans of green beans or 10 pounds of chocolate chips, you might not appreciate the savings of buying in bulk. Check it out with a day pass to see if it's something worth your time....when you have time.

I think I will attempt to get myself the other half of the bed I just shmoozled for 10 bucks instead of the 50 asked. What it was was a two sided futon bed that you just push together to make a double... they were asking 50 bucks a side at the Sally Ann so I did this song and dance and the kind lady bucked the price down for me...y'see I had to toss my last bed due to the horrendous amount of mold I discovered I was sleeping over...a damp, dark and very moist basement suite beside a river ... do the math and you get mold on bloody near everything .... so I found a beauty new place back in Nanoose Bay up on a high bluff overlooking the bay and a panorama of Island mountains... a nice dry above ground cottage... and I've been sleeping on the floor for a few weeks now and well ... it was really uncomfortable y'know? And we have no livingroom furniture to speak of so I couldn't just sleep on the couch!  LOL

So Santa .... make it so I can score the other half of my bed!!!   LOL   HO HO HO!

1 week in Cuba is good enough for me

    Bob/PKB

What is the attraction in Cuba? Are you going in December?

Will you be stopping along the way to pick up any of your fellow aka Canadians? Just wondering. :)
    digger

@Bob. The sun, the people, the music. Havana is like an old hooker. A little run down but full of great stories.;-)
    digger

@Ducky. Sure. Meet me at gate D227, 90 minutes prior to boarding.

Oh no. Please send the limo.
    digger

No problem. You'll have to post your home address here on AKAQA since I don't have an email account.
    Bob/PKB

Oh, I wish. No trips for me for awhile. :(
Hope you have the best time ever! I can't imagine anything being dull with you around!

Okay digger, I'll do that. Write it down and don't forget me.

All I want for Christmas is "my two front teeth, my two front teeth, my two front teeth...".

    lindilou

LOL I have one that I wouldn't mind getting back LOL
    Bob/PKB

My 5 year old granddaughter had hers knocked out by her Grandpa Wonderful when she was 2. I'm SURE she would like those two front teeth for Christmas (and the ones on either side, as they were knocked out, too). Eating and speech have been challenges for her.
    lindilou

G-pa wonderful doesn't sound so wonderful Bobby!
    Bob/PKB

It WAS an accident, but we don't cut him any slack. He and Grandma Wonderful always want the 4 year old for trips and special occasions. They seem to forget there is a 5 year old granddaughter and a 2 year old grandson. The 5 year old has asked her dad (my son) why she doesn't get invited anywhere...
    bustieone

bob, sorry to cause you to relive that.
    Bob/PKB

Not to worry. She is growing in confidence every day. She has survived much, much worse. Brave kids, survivors, and optimistic

We've just bought a new smart TV,not really as a Christmas present, just because our old one was 14 years old. We decided to buy a Freeview+ box to go with it ,that plays CDs and records two programmes at once all for free. Now we have no monthly contract to pay, only thing is the TV is so smart it turned itself on twice , once when I walked past it, and once when one of my cats walked past it. Smart or what?

You need to check the motion sensors Dave, you've got them on a sensitive setting.
    Bob/PKB

Got to wonder what the cats might be watching when you're not home!
    lindilou

    LOL Bobby! Born Free? ;D
    sunnyB

Thanks for that info Roy, now I just have to find how to do that.

We are looking at a PTO driven generator. The power doesn't go out much around here and it really doesn't stay out for very long. the last time was last January at 0 to -5 degrees for 6 Hrs. We got by fine but it did make me a little nervous.
