    troubleshooting a 2000 mercury cougar 2.5 liter

    we have replaced the fuel pump and the car still will not start. any suggestions

    There are just way too many variables that could be causing the car to not start. You have not given a lot of information for anyone to go on. So, you changed the fuel pump. What made you think the fuel pump needed to be changed? Did you have a diagnostic run on the car? Is there anything more you can add to, "the car won't start"? 


    Suggestion. Have the car towed to a garage.
