The brilliant blue dial is inspired by the link Oruri songbird (otherwise known as the Blue-And-White Flycatcher) link which migrates to Japan from Southeast Asia at the beginning of summer. Grand Seiko's worked with illustrator ShiShi Yamazaki to create illustrations depicting the bird and its link rich blue plumage.
