Exactky what are racist expressions?
You'd think the answer to this was obvious, but it isn't. Here in the UK, we have legislatiion forbidding the use of racist expressions in public. But to be forbidden, they must be specified. Therefore a list has been drawn up, and (presumably because it keeps a few Civil Servants in work) is still being expanded.
The most recent addition is 'Paki'. This is most obviously a contraction of 'Pakistani', yet how can it be described as racist? It's just the way we lazy Brits treat long words. I have a female friend whose given name is Penelope. Her parents, her lover, and all her friends habitually address and refer to her as 'Penny'. I also recently noticed a work colleague sporting a tee-shirt with the legend, 'Pakistani, and proud of it'.
Me, I couldn't give a fart (I value rather more highly the other four-letter word beginning with f). And as for the gentleman with the tee-shirt - he can be proud of what he likes; I value people according to their individual qualities. Does that make me a racist? I think not, so far. But the Civil Servants are on the march, and it's ony a matter of time before racism and individualism become aspects of the same thing.

What merit is the question....it seems to be a bait to stir up responses.

If you think you can vex me, I have news for you. Most of the time I place your responses on ignore mode and will continue.
I am not sure if it is bovine or equine crap that you put out for us. It just gets old !
If a black person calls another black person nigga , thats not racist. But if a white person calls a black person nigga, thats racist. These days blacks go around calling other blacks nigga , more that whites say it. Its a trashy rap culture thing.

They call each other that to take away the negative energy of the word when white people use it against them. But I'm sure you knew this and if you didn't, you're not paying attention.
My opinion is that a "racist expression" is a slang term (or phrase) in which the ethnicity of a person is used in a negative or derogatory way. In college, a couple guys I knew had notebook paper tacked to the inside door of the broom closet. The paper was for listing those words and expressions. Their list consisted of several pages.
As far as a question being "bait to stir up responses", I'm not inclined to agree with that assessment without exception. I am inclined to agree with Benthere that I generally pass by your responses or at best skim over them. (Note "response" verses "answer")

If I called you a British Poopy Woopy Man that would a racist expression except that I am British as well... don't go calling me a British Poopy Woopy Woman.... I could cry. You wouldn't want to do that. Things could get ugly.
