I imagine people in the neighbourhood were just trying to get through their days... It does not look like the most pleasant place to live. I read an article that stated a lot of the houses on that particular street are boarded up. People in the neighbourhood are saying all sorts of things.... not quite as colourful as Mr. Ramsey in the first link.

It would depend completely on what medium you are using.

In water colour you could use (and this is frowned upon), titanium white with the tiniest brush stroke of cadmium yellow medium and half a brush stroke of yellow ochre.

In cone 6 to cone 10 glazes it is chemical, and in the rest... fool around with the white and anything that has a brown tone... easy peasy.

This is curious because my husband and I have been mulling over the things we really don't need. The carbon footprint thing.

Indoor plumbing gets my vote. This is something I really enjoy having and the convenience I choose to keep should I be forced to give all others up.

I think we are all very lucky to have a Mod like Colleen as well as our other two mods, Pythonlover and Yvonne.

Colleen works on this site tirelessly and with very little thanks. She also takes a beating at times. It can't be an easy job and so we should all be very grateful. Without Colleen this site would be mahem... we all remember the BANDB4 boys... that was one horrible week.

I would also like to say that the Mods are representing the administration and owner(s) of this site and should be treated with respect.
